We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Workshop
on Astrophysics, called YongPyong 2008 Astrophysics, held on February
25-27, 2008 at YongPyong ski resort area in Kangwon-do. The
subject the workshop will focus upon this year is following:
1) Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays, including theoretical studies
on cosmic ray acceleration and experiments
2) Gamma Ray Bursts, including high energy gamma rays
3) Infrared Astrophysics, including recent
observations
4) Future programs with the space-based (balloons, satellites, and
the international space station) and the ground-based facilities
In order to
make the workshop more fruitful and beneficial to every attendee, most of the
talks will be given by invitees in plenary sessions. We strongly encourage participations of young scientists including graduate students with presentations
in this melt-in place between theorists and experimentalists.
